Tinazzi Collezione di Famiglia Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore 2019

This is a fairly hefty yet balanced and dry style of ripasso. Feels traditional from the packaging on through to the slightly earthy, spicy finish. There is generous slightly candied red cherry fruit nicely placed within floral, spicy and barnwood notes. It is medium bodied, fairly smooth yet firmly underpinned by good acidity and tannin. The length is excellent. This will age nicely another three to five years. Tasted August 2022. Score – 91. (David Lawrason, winealign.com)
