Grown on sandy, gravelly, and chalky soils, this wine comes from vineyards about 1,300 meters above sea level in the Gualtallary zone toward the northern end of the Uco Valley. There are exuberant floral and herbal notes, but most of all, it has red fruits that expand across the palate with juicy red flavors. Aged in oak for a year, this is a red that’s succulent but with the local acidity and tannins that provide energy and, most of all, a lot of freshness. A red to cellar – and to wait for. [Drink: 2024-2035.] Score – 96. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2021)
