Product Details
A blend of 90% Agiorgitiko and 10% Mavroudi, 75% fermented in stainless steel, aged in first-fill barrels and 25% in second-fill barrels for one year. The evolving garnet hue belies the exuberant strawberry fruit along with a charming rose fragrance, wild cherries and a portent of dried mushroom that will build in years to come. Stunning acidity reminiscent of top-class Barbera, with fine tannin and a delightfully earthy and black olive butter finish. The price of this wine is definitely favourable; I can’t help wondering if it has the makings of collectible classic thanks to its amazing capacity for ageing. I’d get in quick. Drinking window: 2022-2026. Score – 93. (Olly Smith, decanter.com, July 6, 2022)
