Two Sisters Eleventh Post 2018

This is an estate grown blend of merlot, cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon fermented in French oak barrels and aged 30 months therein as well. It has a generous, complex nose with sweet oak vanillin, spice and toast framing herbal notes, some graphite and currant-like fruit. Very much more in a Bordeaux style than California, which is common for Niagara. It is medium-full bodied, streamlined and very well balanced with smooth texture, warmth and fine tannin. There is a lot going on here and the length is excellent. Best now to 2028. Tasted June 2022. Score – 91. (David Lawrason, winealign.com)
