An unusually hot and dry vintage for Mendocino County resulted in wines possessing dense concentration without sacrificing the freshness and delicate aromas for which the region is known. This example from Twomey shows notes of ripe raspberry, rose petal, cedar and mushroom, all wrapped around a core of soft tannins.
