Valcarlos Fortius Reserva 2016

90% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Cassis and wood spice nose. Pretty summer pudding fruit in the mouth; oak is well judged and tannins are moderate and ripe. Beautiful wine with a long, silky finish. Steak anyone? Score – 95. (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2021)
