Vidal-Fleury Saint-Joseph 2018

The 2018 Saint Joseph is almost Côte Rôtie-like in its black raspberry, spicy, and floral aromatics. These all carry to a medium-bodied Syrah that has silky tannins, outstanding balance, and just loads of character. I don’t think it will make terribly old bones, but it should easily evolve for 7-8 years, if not a decade. Maturity: 2022-2030. Score – 91. (jebdunnuck.com, Feb. 16, 2022)
