A smile-inducing wine that is deep purple in color, it’s a vortex of black fruit that begins with boysenberry, black raspberry and blackberry and decrescendos into dried hay, young cedar and Darjeeling tea. Black fruit is joined by orange citrus peel, Alpine strawberry and just-ripened red cherry on the palate and completes with a finish that is mulled-wine reminiscent. Score – 90.
