Product Details
Aquitania gets this 100% cabernet sauvignon from vineyards planted across from the winery 26 years ago on soils that are silty, clayey, and especially stony (below 45 centimeters). It’s a colluvial stone from the Andes Mountains that has proven to be perfect for cabernet sauvignon (Domus and Cousiño Macul are the best examples of this classic area), and for Aquitania, it’s the base of a wine that’s always subtle, always delicate. If you like their interpretation of place in their emblematic Paul Bruno, this will amaze you. There’s a depth of sweet red-fruit flavors here and herbal aromas that mingle with earthy and spicy tones, while tannins roll smoothly through the mouth, as if walking on spongy soles. The palate is full of flavor, but not to excess, and the acidity is just right. A classic to understand the true character of Chile’s historic cabernet. [Drink till 2034.] Score – 96.
