As the name implies, fruit for this wine was sourced from vines planted in mineral-rich volcanic soils with loamy clay. Aged in a mix of French and American oak casks, this Carmenère is fruity and spicy, with a notably high minerality leading to flavours of dark cherry, licorice root, smoke, and baking spices.
