Very enticing bouquet, complex, fleshy and fresh with aromas of plums and myriad red berries, black currant then spices, vanilla and moments of clove the dark clay earth suggestions. Dry on the palate with medium+ body, flavours of dark berries and plums are matched by firm tannins and a back bone of acidity surrounded by a judicious level of oak and spice. Plenty of texture and power, a wine best suited to food while still in its youth.
