Zonin Amarone della Valpolicella 2013

Moderately saturated ruby. Delicate aromas of black cherry, blackberry, graphite, and potpourri. Dense and juicy, with frank, sweet flavors of macerated black cherry, figs in syrup, and raisins, but accentuated by peppery, harmonious acidity that provides a light on its feet quality. Finishes smooth with persistent peppery notes. A very good showing for Zonin. Drinking window: 2019-2026. Score – 91. (Ian D’Agata, vinous.com, May 2017)
