Alìe is named for a fabled sea nymph that is a symbol of beauty. The wine itself, a blend of Syrah and Vermentino, is appropriately beautiful, with apricot, nectarine and cantaloupe riding a wave of juicy, bright acidity towards a lip-smacking finish. Pour it with ham-and-artichoke pizza, or poached salmon with a creamy caper-and-lemon sauce. (Vintages panel, June 2018)
