Jacques Bruére Cap Classique Blanc de Blancs Sparkling 2012

This is a new disgorgement of a wine that has appeared in previous reports, and it’s a pleasure to meet it again. Made by Jacques Bruwer, this is a lightly barrel-fermented Chardonnay that shows the influence of Robertson’s limestone soils. Tangy and bright, with nutmeg, brioche and praline flavours and a dry, satisfying finish. Drink date: 2022-2027. Score – 93. (timatkin.com, South Africa Special Report 2022)
