Alain Jaume Domaine Grand Veneur La Fontaine Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2023

The nutty, nougat oak is spicy and excessive. It has good acidity, with intensity and freshness, yet it’s very oaky and quite high in alcohol. This is a rich, floral, flamboyant wine, with a nutty finish. Fermented then aged for 10 months in barriques, 50% new oak. Drinking window: 2024-2027. Score – 93.
