Au Pied du Mont Chauvé Clos St-Jean Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru 2015

Right on the edge of the village, this vineyard is one of the oldest walled clos in Burgundy. This 2015 is sumptuous and ripe, full of generous fruit and splashes of toastiness. The wine already has its fruit and minerality in balance. It is tempting to drink it now, but wait for the best until 2020. Score – 93. (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, Oct. 1, 2018)
