Baettig Selección de Parcelas Los Primos Chardonnay 2020

Los Primos is a selection of two blocks of chardonnay planted in 2013, and today they are both dry farmed, which is possible in the area with a little more than 1,000 millimeters of rainfall each year and with soils of volcanic origin that offer enough nutrients so that the vines can survive. This chardonnay was aged for about 15 months in oak barrels, a third of them new. It’s a wine with a vertical structure, intense and penetrating acidity, and flavors of ripe white fruit that contrast with that acidity refreshing everything in its path. The weight of the wine is significant – and just as important as the enveloping texture it offers. A white for the cellar. Score – 96. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2023)
