Blaauwklippen Chardonnay 2023

Fermented and matured for 11 months in 228-litre barrels, 30% new. No malolactic fermentation. Lemon plus some leesy, waxy notes on the nose while the palate is rich and round – dense fruit matched by fresh acidity before a savoury finish. Score – 94. (Christian Eedes, winemag.co.za, Oct. 18, 2024)
