Cave Spring Estate Grown Chardonnay 2024

I really like the crispness of this chardonnay, and other Niagara 2024s tried to date. Acid and minerality merge very evenly. The nose is generous with well defined apple fruit, with barrel toast, spice and brulee. It is medium weight, firm, tart-edge and dry with balanced 12.5% alcohol and no notable sweetness. Rather stony on the finish. The length is very good to excellent. Not just a typical Niagara expression, but a Beamsville Bench expression. Tasted March 2026.
