Chanzy Le Bois Cassien Monopole Mercurey 1er Cru 2019

This reminds me of how good Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru used to taste back in the 1980s! A very flinty expression of Mercurey with plenty of minerality and enough lemon and pear character to carry this slightly austere style. Long, stony yet polished finish. Drink or hold. Score – 93.
