Cleebourg Gewurztraminer 2017

This is a beautiful example of Alsatian gewûrztraminer. It shows layered complexity in the rich flavours, and a texture with just the right degree of viscosity for the fruit and acid. The acidity itself is clean and fresh and it lifts the palate by cutting through the texture and the intensity of the fruit. One glass is not enough. It’s drinking beautifully now and will easily hold to the mid-2020s. Score – 95. (rodphillipsonwine.com, Undated)
