David Johnson and Louise Engel named their winery Featherstone to pay homage to the gourmet food shop they once owned. ‘Feather’ because the shop specialized in poultry, and ‘stone’ for the stone rock face and quarry adjacent to the vineyard. This bistro-style Riesling-based blend is an aromatic, easy-to-sip delight. It’s lifted and floral, with bright apple, pear, lime and mineral tones. Try it with sushi.
