Sandy soils and pre-phylloxera bush vines provide the Verdejo grapes for this wine which is a pure reflection of the vineyard. No oak, the wine is macerated with stems before fermentation in stainless steel, then spends a further nine months on lees. There’s a little reduction here, struck match, which adds interest and complexity. Weighty on the palate but with a limey backbone, the wine is direct and precise with a saline finish.
