J. de Villebois Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Sancerre is the benchmark for Loire Valley sauvignon blanc, but excellent examples – such as this one – come from other Loire regions. This was matured in stainless steel tanks and delivers well-defined flavours from attack to finish, with a focus on citrus. The acidity is bright and vibrant, giving the texture some juiciness. Eminently drinkable, it’s in excellent form now and is best enjoyed while it’s young – say, until 2025. Score – 92. (Rod Phillips, undated)
