Michel Gassier Lou Coucardié Blanc 2021

While not made in 2022, as they didn’t feel they had the acid structure, the 2021 Costières De Nîmes Lou Coucardié Blanc is terrific and based on 45% Viognier, 25% Rou8ssanne, 20% Grenache Blanc, and 10% Clairette. It reminds me of a beautiful white Burgundy with its orchard fruits, honeyed flowers, and spicy notes to go with a layered, medium-bodied, focused, incredibly impressive style. This might be the finest white I’ve tasted from this estate, and it needs to be tasted to be believed. Score – 95. (jebdunnuck.com, Nov. 2, 2023)
