Axel Pauly is part of the outstanding new generation of winemakers that have rejuvenated the Mosel in recent years. Though the 2021 wasn’t reviewed at time of writing, recent vintages of this wine have earned ratings of 90+ from top international critics. This example has the clarity and precision that have rapidly become hallmarks of Pauly’s work. It’s a balanced, fresh wine, with flinty minerality underpinning pear and citrus notes.
