Robert Mondavi Fumé Blanc 2021

I loved the Sauvignon Blanc dominated 2021 Fume Blanc, which includes 13% Semillon and comes all from the To Kalon Vineyard and is mostly Sauvignon Blanc yet has 13% Semillon. It has a gorgeous perfume of bright citrus and tart pineapple-like fruit as well as honeyed mint and chalky mineral-like aromas and flavors. This medium-bodied, fresh, chiseled, yet concentrated white is gorgeous today yet I wouldn’t be surprised to see it evolve brilliantly for upwards of a decade. Maturity: 2023-2028. Score – 95.
