Santa Alicia Gran Reserva de Los Andes Chardonnay 2019

The oaky aromas are stronger than the fruit in this chardonnay, but what underlies it all is a layer of white fruits and floral tones in a warm wine with good acidity and an herbal finish that gradually shows more and more fruity flavors. There should be more whites in the Maipo Alto, a zone that has focused on cabernet sauvignon – with plenty of arguments and examples – although chardonnay is a good contribution. Score – 91.
