Château Lagrange (Pomerol) 2025

Vanilla, dried herbs, flowers and black fruit aromas. A little restrained right now, smooth but a bit tight and compact. A little quiet and reserved, soft tannins not super grippy but also missing a touch more vibrancy. There’s some cool blue fruit juice which is nice and this has a cool overall expression with touches of liquorice and wet stones that add a mineral touch. Good potential. I’d like to re-taste this after ageing. Drinking window: 2030-2044. (Georgina Hindle,decanter.com)
