Château Malartic-Lagravière 2025

Round and ripe aromas of blackcurrants and bramble fruit on the nose. Supple and juicy but smooth and velvety too – almost cream with a soft powdery aspect to the tannins and a vein of blueberry acidity going from start too finish which keeps this quite linear. A nice combination of structure and accessibility. Well balanced, mouthwatering with a crisp, juicy and extremely fresh aspect almost with an iodine, oyster shell salinity which lingers. Lovely. Delicate and long. Very good. A yield of 38hl/ha. 0.5% Cabernet Franc completes the blend. Drinking window: 2030-2045. (Georgina Hindle,decanter.com)
