Castelprile della Volpaia Riserva Maremma Toscana Rosso 2019

The 2019 Riserva Castelprile shows how far these wines have come in recent years. Dark and brooding in feel, the [2019] hits the palate with loads of black fruit, lavender, espresso and grilled herbs. Even with all of its obvious intensity, the 2019 retains terrific freshness and energy. This is such a classy and elegant wine, certainly the best yet here. Drinking window: 2024-2034.
