A fresh and engaging showing: a wet-stone note on the nose alongside bright red cherry fruit gives an immediate sense of lift. The palate packs plenty of juice, underpinned by lively acidity (pH 3.35) that keeps everything energetic, if not quite as seamlessly balanced as the best examples in this vintage that marry ripeness and freshness more completely. Still, a well-crafted wine with good vibrancy and charm – and more convincing than some peers in this price range, and an enjoyable expression overall. (Panos Kakaviatos,decanter.com)
