Château La Vieille Cure 2025

Deep and brooding aromatics full of ripe blackcurrant and plum. This has plenty of flesh as well as cooling acidity and minerality meaning it has texture but also persistence and an element of lift. Still marked by wood at this point but I like the styling and attention to detail. Plus the juiciness gives it energy and lift. This will be nice. Yield of 35hl/ha. Ageing 12-15 months, 50% in French oak barrels. Drinking window: 2028-2038. (Georgina Hindle,decanter.com)
