Château Le Gay 2025

The 2025 Le Gay is classy, elegant and polished. The purity of the fruit is just remarkable. I also sense a lighter hand with regards to extraction and oak, which really helps convey more Pomerol character while still exalting fruit. This is a sublime Le Gay. Yields were a minuscule 19 hectoliters per hectare. The 2025 underwent 12 days of cold soak followed by alcoholic fermentation in barrel, using indigenous yeast developed at the château, for about 15 days. Floral overtones perfume the finish.
