Clos Marsalette Pessac-Leognan 2024

The 2024 Clos Marsalette is soft and open-knit, with lovely forward fruit and fine balance. Blue/purplish fruit, lavender, spice and menthol open nicely in the glass. The 2024 is attractive, although its build is on the mid-weight side, in keeping with the personality of a vintage with low-ish alcohols. Pretty floral overtones from the Cabernets that drive the blend lend freshness and lift. Drinking window: 2026-2034. (Antonio Galloni,vinous.com)
