Fuentespina Crianza 2022

Here’s a deeply coloured, dense, ripe and rich Ribera 100% tempranillo steeped in new American oak barrels. The nose shows very generous blackberry jam, violet, licorice and spice, set amid barrel resin and vanillin. It is full bodied, plush and rounded, with some warmth and dusty, drying tannin. Excellent length with oak dominating, but there is something very appealing and comforting here. Now to 2032. Tasted May 2025. (David Lawrason,winealign.com)
