Hans Herzog Pinot Noir 2018

Herzog’s 2018 pinot pours a relatively deep colour and displays ripeness and concentration above the mean, a rather fleshy and broad wine based more on power than perfume, fulsomeness rather than finesse. Fruit runs towards the darker spectrum for the variety, and tannins take on a wooly quality. Depth and concentration are undeniable, and ambition is high, in a more new world idiom all in all.
