Kanonkop Estate Pinotage 2008

Beyers Truter, founder of Kanonkop, has long been a leading proponent of South Africa’s original grape, and he still turns out some of world’s best from a bare bones winery. This is very good with bright floral, red plum/cherry fruit nicely framed by oak mocha and leathery notes. It’s medium-full bodied, fairly tense and lively. Almost juicy; very engaging.
