Muriel Reserva 2020

The 2020 Muriel Reserva is a Tempranillo from Elciego in Rioja. Garnet in hue, it offers the classic character of the area, with aromas of cherry, dried flowers, herbs and a backdrop of oaky flavors such as vanilla and caramel. Slim on the palate, with a firm grip and a chalky texture, it’s very much a traditional Rioja wine. Recently bottled, this promises to evolve well. Drinking window: 2025-2040. Score – 92.
