Pereira Syrah Do Empedrado Maule 2020

The 2020 Syrah Pareira Vineyard – Lot 118 hails from Cauquenes, Maule, and was aged for two winters in used French barrels. Dark purple in hue. On the nose, it presents pepper and blackberry notes as well as bacon, rosemary and sweet spices. Silky and fairly taut, the finely grained tannins and light structure make for quite a lean flow before the layered, flavorful, languorous finish. Drinking window: 2023-2040.
