Pipoli Aglianico del Vulture 2022

(Translated from the Italian): Its appearance announces its uncommon concentration. A wine with excellent extractive density even at first glance. Here, in fact, the color is barely visible, and upon swirling the glass, the arches on the wall form dense and abundant. The aroma: roundness and a glycerin-like persuasion of great pulp. High extracts, pronounced density, perfectly ripe fruit, enveloping and persuasive, especially on the palate. The applied oenology is virtuoso: its sour cherry and black cherry aromas are still well-turgid and very clear. Both on the nose and on the palate, this wine excels for its majestic richness, for the complete ripeness of the fruit at harvest: notes of powerful persuasion that invigorate its taste-aroma. Consistency is the source of its long, soft, mellow, and plum-like finish. (Luca Maroni,lucamaroni.com,Aug. 5, 2025)
