Hacienda Araucano Clos de Lolol White 2019

François Lurton is rightly praised for the quality of the white blend he makes in Argentina, but this cuvée of Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Chardonnay is every bit as good in 2019. Barrel fermented in 70% new wood, it’s sappy, intense and stony, showing lemongrass and grapefruit flavours, stylish toasty oak and leesy, waxy complexity. Drink date: 2021-2027. Score – 95.
